The Vancouver Film Critics Circle is excited to welcome Telefilm Canada as a new sponsor this year. They’re donating a cash prize to the winner of our Best First Film by a Canadian Director award.

We’re also delighted that the Canadian Media Production Association-BC Producers’ Branch is now a major sponsor. They’re also backing a $500 cash prize for our Best B.C. Film award.

In addition, the Union of BC Performers is now sponsoring a $500 cash prize for one of our Canadian acting awards: Best Actor in a Canadian Film, Best Actress in a Canadian Film, Best Supporting Actor in a Canadian Film or Best Supporting Actress in a Canadian Film. We’ll decide which category gets the prize depending on whether the winner is a Canadian citizen.
